Our Christmas zone conferences were this week. We visited two orphanages and put on a Nativity for the kids. We also brought some soccer balls, dolls and doll strollers, bubbles (which were a big hit) and a little package for each child that had stickers, playdough, a candy cane and a lollipop.
It was such a neat experience and the kids were so cute. What a great way to get into the Christmas spirit. We went back to the church building and watched the movie, "Ephraim's Rescue." For food we had croissant french toast with whipped cream and strawberry jam, bacon (I cooked 36 pounds of it for the zone conference) fruit and homemade chocolate chip cookies.
We are so grateful for all of our amazing missionaries serving here in Panama. Special thanks to two of our assistants who are finishing their missions this week. They have done a fabulous job and we will miss them so much!
These photos and videos are from the Arraijan conference. Sorry I don't have the photos from the David Zone Conference yet, but those will go up next week.
Here is a cool time lapse video from the orphanage.
The Nativity
Here are some songs from the Nativity program.
Santa Claus and his elves were there too! Being from the North Pole and all, Panama weather was a little warm for Santa, but he and his elves were great.
Just a little bit of height difference here!
This little guy had the cutest smile ever.
These awesome Elders kneeled on the cement to share their hymnbooks with two girls that were in wheelchairs.
One of our hermanas taught the kids the Spanish version of the song "Lullaby of the Animals."
We had two musical numbers back at the chapel
